PRAYERS

Below are some prayers for personal use.

Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.

I bind unto myself the name,
The strong name of the Trinity,
By invocation of the same,
The Three in One and One in Three.
By whom all nature hath creation,
Eternal Father, Spirit, Word:
Praise to the Lord of my salvation,
Salvation is of Christ the Lord.

Let nothing disturb you,

Let nothing frighten you,

All things are passing away:

God never changes.

Patience obtains all things

Whoever has God lacks nothing;

God alone suffices.

Prayers for the Holy Land  â€‹

Prince of Peace, we cry out for an end to the violence and bloodshed.  Bring about reconciliation and understanding among the divided communities of the Holy Land.  May your peace prevail.  Amen.

We pray for all world leaders to influence the leaders in the Holy Land.  May they work towards a peaceful resolution and support efforts to bring on end to this conflict.  Amen.

God of mercy, look with compassion on all who are affected by the present conflict. Grant insight to hardened hearts, comfort to the fearful, protection to those in danger, and hope to those who are despairing, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord, we pray for the innocent civilians in this war who are suffering.  Have mercy on them and provide for their needs.  Pray also for the hostages being held in Gaza.  We ask for their safe release and that you comfort them in their distress.  Amen.

A Prayer for Ukraine

God of peace and justice,
we pray for the people of Ukraine today.
We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or peace,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion
to guide their decisions.
Above all, we pray for all your precious children, at risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
Amen.

God, our Father, in your loving providence you send your holy angels to watch over us.  Hear our prayers, defend us always by their protection, and let us share your life with them for ever; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.  Amen.

Thanks be to thee, Lord Jesus Christ, for all the benefits and blessings which thou hast borne for me.  O most merciful Friend, Brother and Redeemer, may I know thee more clearly, love thee more dearly, and follow thee more nearly, day by day.  Amen.
